As is always the problem with Japanese protagonists they need to be more firm about refusing. I get that in Japan the entire culture is that you cannot go against what your Superior says to the point where they have an entire industry of hiring foreigners to argue with their bosses if their bosses make a dumb decision but this is a fantasy story where you can write whatever you want.

Even if she graduated, she doesn't actually have a business plan and she'd just find a way to undervalue her magic and overwork herself, which looks eerily similar to the father.

What she COULD do at this point is grill the instructors on what exactly did her father do and the reputation of their family, considering they are valued but noone ever seems to support them financially.

girl simply has yet to realise how little she knows of the world and is trying to excel and free up her time within those bounds, completely oblivious to how abnormal her situation is.

by extension, nobles have a habit? policy? of not letting others pry into their personal affairs or prying into the affairs of others and so everyone around her don't fully grasp how abnormal her situation is either.

everyone is operating on a level of bias assumptions from their own situations, so there isn't as much "forcing" as we think there is. a lot of this behaviour is just cultural norms of nobility and she is walking into this completely unprepared and overachieving making it a bit worse.

Ya know, I think she really needs to kinda consider that while she has general knowledge of life, she kinda needs to learn how this world works haha. Kinda like the princess, falls under the could be annoying, but like well meaning as well.

Her first business should be as an antiques recycler, buying chipped stuff, mending them, then reselling - I’m surprised she has not mentioned this to her butler.

From the skills she’s demonstrated, a common trope to manga is to introduce modern fashion, and she could easily create her own Haute Couture Maison, designing gowns etc for the Royal family and nobles, plus she can introduce modern fashion, such as lingerie and support underwear.

Until the Industrial Revolution, Lace was a very expensive hand made luxury.

Oh yeah, and don’t forget she’s 12.

Patience, ironically, just needs a bit of patience I think, yeah.

She's super tunnel-visioned on helping out her younger brothers, sure, but it's blinding her to a lot of potentially useful resources--and people--who could actually make that even easier, and help elevate her family's name back to financial solvency. It's clear her father is still respected via the previous chapter, and she even had the passing thought of "maybe I should see what he actually did". It was just immediately followed up by "but first I must keep smashing my head into this wall that is School Advancement".

I'm sure she'll figure it out and realize how silly she's being sooner or later, but for now Patience has one goal and has latched onto the first plan she encountered and will not be dissuaded or tempted into looking left or right. It means she'll likely be butting heads with people beyond the royal children, as well, but that's also how we get the cast expanded and introduce potential new allies (and villains, I suppose).

Her father's situation is quite confusing. He is well respected, so it seems like he should easily be able to find work (perhaps a teaching position, they all don't seem to have a lot to teach XD).

It's also difficult to understand what he is doing. He doesn't seem to be the type of person to just remain idle (you don't get the level of respect he does without hard work and that becomes a habit), and he is not behaving in any way that suggests despair (he's not drinking himself silly or anything else), so what exactly is keeping him occupied?

In any case, Patience certainly is ensuring that her time is completely filled up. XD I wonder if she'll have time to improve desserts eventually.

She really shouldn't have played that Mozart piece because now "her" music talent has the club's full attention.

I guess she'll be going to the royal palace on Friday evening and then spending the weekend? I assume she'll have to send a letter back home to explain her not being able to return that weekend.

"Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake" and, oh boy, is Patience improving her prestige amongst her peers with her actions, so I'd say she doesn't have anything to comment on right now because she's satisfied with everything Patience is doing.

But it's also possible the original ego is not the perfect lady. It doesn't seem that she noticed anything about being late to go to the princess' room after class so perhaps she was just as engrossed into the book on courses as the controlling ego and failed to remind her on this important task.

Or perhaps Patience is so preoccupied she literally has no time for any other thoughts so the original ego becomes dormant.

bruh even if this is a fantasy world, it is still based on aristocratic world... even more worse than modern day Japan in term of "refusing" work from someone whose rank is higher than yourself. basically its not a request but an order... sure you can "decline" (in her case, she would decline a royalty offer), but that would bring trouble in aristocratic standings. she have no other option but to accept and the truth is, this offer is good for her and her family standings.

Pulling out a banger from Mozart. Not the most technically demanding piece, but it's got a killer hook for the 16th century. The kind that white people 4 centuries later still get in their head. It's on all the Mozart's Greatest Hits compilations.

Makes me wonder just how good at piano she is. I don't think she's a master, or she wouldn't be this nervous. I bet she could pull off most Mozart and Bach, but would struggle with the really technical stuff from Rachmaninoff or Chopin.

That's a fun idea- as she keeps pulling classical music out of her past life, she starts playing increasingly difficult or bizarre pieces. Starts with the Mozart and Bach, ends up melting their brains with Bartok. Maybe Veep Albert gets a taste for the twelve-tone scale.

As outsiders and Patience herself never said anything, they probably assumed her dad already/will tell her when he feel it's right.

It started from some high rank noble supremacists started declaring that the academy should only be for high rank nobles only.
Dad opposed them and won on that topic.
But they probably put pressure on the king to get dad's life ruined as revenge.

So these teachers can't help dad openly in fear of getting collateral'd.
