Fun Fact:So, Iris's mind is in the gutter. She's definitely down bad for the bed activity. Lol
He knows & to a degree understands how they all feel toward him. He's purposely acting dumb.Brah...
You cant be that fucking dense...
I know you're a Japanese protagonist, but even a 10 ton lead block would know that what you just said would be taken in a sexual context...
So that just turns it from terminally tone deft to another's feelings, to needlessly cruel and callus.He knows & to a degree understands how they all feel toward him. He's purposely acting dumb.
That's quite a harsh assessment considering the last part made it clear this misunderstanding is on her as he actually explained the plan beforehand but she zoned out at the "Sleep together" part like the hormonal teenager she is. Also a number of chapters back he explained he has no intention of doing anything for now as "Hanky Panky" might result in Children and their surroundings aren't stable enough to raise one yet. Something she knows.So that just turns it from terminally tone deft to another's feelings, to needlessly cruel and callus.

Hmm. After reading you reply I get the feeling you are mixing things up on what is happening in the manga. Considering you assumed the MC is "dense" despite a whole chapter dedicated to him explaining his feelings to the Girls (It was pretty much a Love confession) makes me think you might simply forgot a few things over the years. I suggest rereading the thing if you have time and a place that has all the chapters. It seems a lot disappeared again here. I do that sometimes as a refresher for longer manga's.O . o;
This might be a slightly rude assumption, but it seems as of you don't have much experience with relationships and the opposite sex. So just in case you were unaware, you really shouldn't tempt or tease emotionally dependent people if you have no intention of offering the appropriate emotional and or physical release. It can be physically painful to be so close to something you desire, and not be allowed fulfill them.
If the MC is willfully ignorant of their feelings or just awkwardly ignoring them, he should be much more mindful with his choice of words. It's really not that hard to use less salacious sounding words, but this is mostly a SoL drama with action adventure aspects, and the author wants to force the misunderstanding.
So to me it doesn't feel like a cute wholesome scene. Because despite knowing how much the girls care for him and want more then just kind words and handholding. He is holding back and yet still using words that implies more then he intends. So ends up feeling needlessly cruel.

And I will admit it "was" kind of a rude assumption but this is the internet, I read worse and you did try to be polite so no problem really. Main key here is "he didn't intentionally string the girl along". He actually explained his plan right then and there but she simply was on cloud nine and didn't hear him. She "strung herself along". Honestly it seems she didn't even expect anything to happen as she was mostly annoyed at him not playing along. And once she commented on Reggy he realised what happened, stopped and explained the whole thing again to make sure there are no misunderstandings. So less dense and more not noticing that the Girl's hormones crashed her brain when he explained everything
A note to the MC's choice of words but we saw he tends to be very direct. He can out of the box sing praises about the Girls in great detail and mean every word and was pissed about the Fake demon because "demons are actually cute" (completely ignoring the rest of the guys in the room who where flabbergasted at him). But occasionally things like this happen thanks to that because he says a thing but the possible other meaning takes a moment for him to register. It's notably rare actually compared to some manga's where that gag happens 2-5 times per chapter and the last time ended with him not only clearing it up but was the chapter where that confession happened because it made him sit down and explain his feelings and goals to the girls. In the case in this chapter it seems he actually explained everything too but the Girl didn't hear him.
True, I do agree the trope can be annoying. Frankly considering how the guy says things I am very sure the MC is in some way on the Spectrum as he says "exactly as he means it with no Metaphor intended" but it takes some time or even an explanation before it sinks in for him on how it could be misunderstood. And in his defence the Girls are absolute World Champions in misunderstanding things in the most lascivious ways, not helped by the Horny Sword fanning the flames. Often followed by "Oh yeah this is Nagi we are talking about" when it gets cleared up.-.-;
I remember enough, and i know the MC isnt maliciously stringing the girls along. He does care, but the author is making his OC say things in a leading manner, even when taken in context, they are salacious.
My first comment is saying the MC is so dense because even a 10 ton brick of lead would understand his comments would lead to a misunderstanding.
Comment 2 is saying that if he knows his words could be misunderstood and still says them knowing such, it is needlessly cruel and rather callus because he has no intention of fulfilling the desires that will be ignited by his words.
And then my comment to you is saying that no right thinking person should treat someone they love in such a manner.
It has nothing to do with mental disabilities or deficiencies. The author wrote the main charater's lines to be salacious and to be deliberately misunderstood by the Girl's, because that is the type of manga this is.True, I do agree the trope can be annoying. To be fair he usually doesn't go "oh no that's not what I mean" and calls it a day but as seen in 72 takes effort to make sure to clear up things properly and put his thoughts and feelings on the table (in a very fucking awkward manner but he does) so compared to some other manga's out there I give it a pass.
Also his reactions back then when he realized he non-chalantly just admitted he wants children with them was cute.
On a related note I now think we might have misunderstood each other a bit so maybe just ignore my early replies.
...I am starting to feel you didn't even read beyond the first line. Well whatever. This is going nowhere so yes let's leave it at that.It has nothing to do with mental disabilities or deficiencies. So take it or leave it, I've been more then clear.
