But not uncommon in these kinds of stories. Plenty of geopolitical dramas will do that, or have most of Asia be one big exoticised blob because the writer didn't understand much about the regions. You even hear people in real life refer to an election or cultural event as happening "In Africa."

Well if you have a country / region that will always have war because they cant play nice with their neighbor or because it just stupid or illogical what that doesnt really bring a profit, just destroying the country. If you have a power to unite it, especially if it is already have not too difference culture why not? Atleast by unification it now they can grow the country.

So, yeah - I'm keeping an offline copy of the WN and hoping to see the LN at some point.
But back in Ch. 184, we learn that the Demonkin had summoned a Demon Lord in 'Dungeon Alive!' and that Setsuna had defeated them. Now, in Ch. 192, a /something/ from the Other Side called 'Lord Bazel' made it across into the Dungeon Nation due to their dungeon-destroying antics, which seems suspiciously similar.
But of course from the POV of this manga, that's all far, far in the future.
