Yeah, but 3D printed guns are bootleg homemade munitions. They're not easily trackable by the gov't. (Rather the information required to make one might be tracked but that's easy enough to handle.)

Because guns are so rare, precautions for the likelihood of a violent gun crime are lacking in a lot of cases. This is why Shinzo Abe is no longer alive.
