I mean, it's nice and all but I can't help but feel that all of this is just too easy. Elf lady was the Commander before Lienna, so there would have been many within the order who would have been there for a while. Hell Lienna and her cohorts learned under her, so how did the order devolves this much because of one guy?

Also where are his higher-ups at this point? Like sure, corrupt nobles and whatnot (even though that never came up in the story so far) but their country got attacked, some of their best got wiped out and the Commander is still missing, that one guy (who is the highest ranked so far presumably) was about to just bail to another country but no one above him is around to even just take stock of what happened? Elf lady can just take charge again?

And I'm sorry but the more they keep piling on how OP Lienna is, the less her treatment within the order makes sense, especially when the former Commander (legendary Elf lady who has been Commander many times over centuries) endorsed her, her cohort of knights all like her and her subordinates are really fond of her, even recruits like Miguel like her, Lily thinks it's absurd that she got desk duty, everyone but one sleazy guy like and respect her but they all stood by and let her be abused for years, to the point that the outlook is that no one within the order likes or respects her. That's absurd and it completely goes against the setup of the story.

I cannot take Lienna seriously as someone who is this flippant about things. Yes, Amon saved Lily but he doesn't know what's going out there either and he has no investment in Ardia, but Lienna does. There is a lot of sensible middle ground between killing her there and then (I doubt anyone reasonable would want that) and just forgiving and forgetting while offering her a place within the order. It would be extremely lame if the other knights just accept her as well because Lienna did. She wasn't there when she was leading the charge massacring soldier and civilian both.

The fact that she got disposed off by her own country (reminder that it was because she was overzealous about killing Ardian troops, they could have left as soon as Evil Amon said so and she would have been fine) is used as a sob story to justify that she isn't really evil, her country is. And I guess we really don't care about the other subordinate who got beheaded huh? I'm sure Lily told Lienna all about how she was treated by her military organization but not what she specifically did. Is she really cool with someone who attacked and killed many of her comrades and the citizens she is meant to protect while she was not there, because she spent a few days with her and decided she is a nice person because she confessed her guilt? And she swore to do the same thing but on your side, so that's cool?

The more we go, the more it feels like the author wants to take the story somewhere other than where it was intended at first so all the setups and early events are kind of inconvenient and we are trying to navigate around them or retcon them where we can't. Also it's been a while since we last saw Amon and the whole setup of the life within the stomach of the dragon feels inconsequential at this point given how much more important stuff is going on outside.

Lily's got a pretty hard head if she can take a finger flick that strong. Remember, getting shot with shotgun shell doesn't even have enough kinetic energy to move a block a ballistics geletin all that far, let alone a body weight's worth.

Bruh, Lienna :dogkek:

I'm honestly not sure if she's crushing on him or just enjoys puny little humans' growth

I feel like the proportions are getting more ridiculous with each chapter

Thanks for the upload!
no joke that last panel just makes me think of that one infamous Liefield captain america pic, lol. at least it's less cursed when it isn't a man in spandex, bust still :V

yeah fuck it i'm leaving that typo in, it happened organically and i just can't bring myself to fix it

it begs the question how the hell her neck didn't snap, but i guess you could always argue that her instincts as a warrior kicked in at the last microsecond and made her fling herself backward as hard as she could to bleed off as much force as possible so her head didn't pop like a fucking grape lol

Lienna didn't see any of that though. All she knows is that an injured knight she's worked to heal offered herself to be executed after confessing to attacking her kingdom.
1. fmc doesn’t know that, and 2. she already gave her reason, so that lily can live on and repay her damages

I'm talking about this moreso from a viewer's satisfaction side, as I don't find it satisfying for a murderer who killed her teammates, to (seemingly) be so easily forgiven.
The girl also admitted to murdering/killing people from her country. If the FMC is all happy to forgive, but this comes up again later when the FMC discovers WHO exactly was murdered, it'll be kinda hypocritical on her end if the FMC is upset.
At the same time, if this is the end of it, and the girl has just been forgiven like that with no other repercussions, that's equally dumb.
So yeah, I don't forsee this development being concluded a particularly satisfying way.

also kinda funny to say FMC implying a male MC. Lienna is just the MC.
There are two main characters, the FMC is Lienna and the MMC is the magic twin dude also living in the dragon's stomach who gets 50% of the story focus on him. So yes, there is a male MC, at least in my opinion.
Also, yes, I'm terrible at remembering names, so I just find it easier to call them MC/FMC/MMC, so sue me.

Yeah, Lienna probably didn't feel like she could pass too much judgement since a) she wasn't there b) the lass has already gone through a lot in her eyes.

That being said, I think she should give some thought to the people who did get attacked and bring them up. I do like that she's at least intending to put her to work fixing some of the damage. That's the best kind punishment (assuming the person receiving said punishment is willing to actually change and is in a state where they can do so)

I think the bit about the knights is a bit rocky as well, I understand what the author is going for but it feels a bit ...eh. But it's true resolution will come about when everyone meets again so I hope the author will somewhat stick the landing

I thought this was just gonna be a chill slowlife, but like they're gonna build a mini army inside that dragon's stomach and then pop out at the last minute in a "No one expects the Spanish inquisition" moment.
Aww, he stopped at 3?
That'd be four in total!

There was likely another knight commander between Elf Lady and Lienna. We seem to be dealing with at least 4 generations.

1. Rain (as the 13th commander, her 4th time)
2. Marshi's (asshole) generation
3. Lienna and Claire's generation (taught by Rain a decade before)
4. Miguel's newest generation

When Rain stepped down as the 13th commander someone from gen 2 likely took over before Lienna assumed the role of Knight Commander. Under this knight commander is where the black company aspects developed and most of that generation seem to have retired from the knights leaving Marshi as one of the few of that gen remaining.

I kind of think that the FMC just forgiving her is dumb. She attacked your country. She KILLED your countrymen. She did it quite gleefully as well. Didn't she behead the guy with a moustache? The person who had recently become a father?
Now it's suddenly a sob story, and we're supposed to just forgive her and let FMC be a goody-two-shoes.
I cannot take Lienna seriously as someone who is this flippant about things. Yes, Amon saved Lily but he doesn't know what's going out there either and he has no investment in Ardia, but Lienna does. I see where u guys are comin from but remember

  1. Lienna is nice, to a fault. So much so that she has never once asked for a break cuz she was too worried about bothering/troubling anyone and it nearly killed her.
  2. Lienna is indeed flippant, she's been shown to be simple minded about these things, Answering "I'll just punch em" to Rain's question in that school flashback. She might even be a bit childish tbh, but shes definitely head in strong first, ask questions later typa gal. (and in turn, a Hug first ask questions later typa gal)
  3. Lienna also saw Lily with a whole magic bomb strapped on her chest, set to explode whenever betraying/disobeying her country. This is me head cannoning but Amon probably explained this, and some extra Duchy of Dal lore to Lienna and how they run things, inspiring some sympathy i assume.
  4. Lienna has grown a bit softer with her time in the dragon, and she was already a softy outside too! (This is also kinda headcannon) But she probably see's the dragon as a nice place/opprotunity for Lily to rehabilitate, relax, and change, just like it did for Lienna.

And lastly, 5! my favourite one (also headcannon), Lienna is so strong she probably doesn't feel that threatened or angry towards Lily, she can kinda END her whenever she wants to. From Lienna's POV, Lily probably looks like a fiesty, but also sad/guilty pomeranian lolz.

But anyway, in what, chapterrr 30-40ish?? Lily will probably get hit witha fat jail sentence while narrrowly dodging the death sentence (and Claire's blade lolz) with Lienna's Blessing. Then maybe join the knights with sunshine and rainbows in tow ^_^

I wonder when the outside world puts 2 and 2 together whenever the dragon sightings start aligning with disappearances.

maybe a little drama in that investigating.
