Isn't there a similar manga with darker tones where the FMC is trying to prevent the MC from dying?

I guess this is somewhat similar to that, I would assume Ice Queen is a regressor as well as is just hiding her cards.

I wasn’t thinking of it while it was happening, but how TF did they have his phone unlocked? That just invalidates the idea that he put the pictures on there in the first place as now any of them could have done that. The framing has a bunch of holes in it as a result but it’s understandable since most people are gonna be too confused to poke holes in the story.

Spoiler: The method

In the 2nd timeline, things are a little different but the condamnation event still happen. MC theorize they figured out his password and they must have stolen his phone during PE class and implemented the photos.

Another way would be they took photos directly. Indeed, I've checked with mine but it's totally possible to take photos without the need to unlock the phone.

Once Amada accuses MC in front of everyone, MC has no choice to comply and unlocks his phone to show the content because if he refuses, for everyone he is as good as guilty.

What I've become more aware after so many stories like this (plus other knowledge about JP), is that the JP mindset is more hive like (then Western). More hivelike, vastly more hierarchical, vastly more "get put into a lane and stay in that lane once you fall into it".

Hence in this case, MC got locked into "Hentai Pervert" lane, while everyone else was already organized into "Romcom story arrangement" -- so they had their romcom lanes, and they stayed in them. Which seems absurd from Western perspective.

like this "school hierarchy" shit and a lot of other tropes are painful/irritating to read, sure, but when you consider the Japanese society and its hidden rules as a whole, it makes much more sense why all that is happening and honestly makes the reading experience much more bearable

Life Reversal? Are you talking about that manga where it's basically the MC here, but had it worse since it was his childhood friend and she cheated on him? The one where the FMC actually saves the MC from jumping?

I haven't read that one yet. I've been debating whether or not to read it since I've seen people mentioning that it is basically misery porn for the cheating childhood friend and the MC barely does anything in the story at all. It's basically everyone else saving the MC.
