Soooo as creepy as the age gap is, I do think the prince kinda has a point here. The people LOVED Alanna with the one dude calling her something like a fairy princess. They truly cared for her, were devastated by her death, and then had to suffer under her “cruel“ husband. Of course they’d be thrilled if her daughter took over and of course they’d royal family wouldn’t want someone else marrying aria just to steal the land for themselves (considering how wildly important it is for national defense) so a prince taking on that role makes sense...even if this dude is way too into Aria’s mom

as always, let me know if you spot any typos

These sort of marriages happened historically in real life, so I'm not surprised to see him actually considering such a thing.

We finally got confirmation that Aria was a working adult in her previous life. It was interesting to see her act like more like an adult here, rather than a child. And at least she finally found her new slave friend to follow her to her dream vacation.

true though the prince looked particularly excited About the marriage and about marrying his old crush S daughter

I kinda assumed she was one back in ch1 though the confirmation is nice, though that being said, if Ed is set up to be the love interest that she’ll Marry when she takes back her territory, it’s a bit unsettling that’s she’s basically treating him like a particularly well behaved child/pet

I wonder if Edmund might have the ability to transform into a giant black wolf?
Just speculating . . .
hope so because i want to see those 2 running through the woods together next chapter. The trio sent after them would never have a chance lol

I mean, Aria is old enough that you can kinda tell what she will eventually look like when she is an adult. Why go after the older used version when you can get the latest, never been used one instead?

I knew Nagisa was much older than Aria, but I was not sure if she died a high schooler or was an actual working adult. This chapter confirmed that she was an working adult when she died.

The servant being interested in the master can work really well, if done right. Just look at this manga to see how well it can play out. Highly recommend it, if you want to continue where the previous group left off. Although I have to warn you that manga is know as "being cursed" for being dropped by many scanlators before.

Erhh.. Gross noble.. the generational age gap is one thing but the primary goal of marrying aria to continue the erandal lineage and keep peace between their people is another thing. He's especially content if he was the one aria married which is kinda concerning. Historically accurate I guess.:nyoron:

Fortunately for aria, I assumed ed is the likely love interest. Though that poses another problem of romancing a kid as a kid but with the mind/soul of an adult (if that'swhats going to be happening). Even then if the current aria heard the noble's offer I'm sure she'd decline.

Really no easy option for aria but this is an isekai Manga, no need for deep thoughts like that. :wooow:

The primary goal is to prevent unrest and keep firm control over the Erandal Territory. The people adored Aria's mom, so having the royals that turned a blind eye to Adonis shitty rule - take over, would piss them off even more. Marrying Aria is just a sweet bonus/wet dream for the prince.

Btw, royals are not part of the nobility, so it would be gross royal, instead.

Do we know if Aria knows/cares about the mismanagement of her territory and the problems it's caused for her people since her mother passed? The letters she sent makes me feel like she would have learned about that, but besides that I didn't get a sense of whether she knows or cares. Wondering if she might try to go back and help fix the issues if she knew the problem of her family was already cleaned up and she wouldn't get in trouble for her escape with her families property.

I'm pretty sure she at least understands a little about her territory from having to into town to send those letters and plan her escape into the forest. It's just that she's a little girl. What exactly can she actually do right now?

Her family is in prison, while the royals have taken over. Staying would mean effectively being a puppet until she is old enough to marry someone to run her territory. It would be a repeat of her mother all over again. And don't forget that staying would mean revealing her stupidly OP powers to everyone and effectively being a tool to be controlled by the kingdom.

It’s funny because Adonis specifically said that his goal was to protect the territory that Alanna loved so much, yet we haven’t seen any of that love from Aria. Not even a flashback with her mom telling her about how beautiful the land is. Heck, im pretty sure that her delivering the letters was the first time she ever actually went outside their estate since dad exiled them to the villa. I doubt she’s got much of a connection to anything other than that Villa

the prince is weirdly the best possible version of that future. Someone would’ve definitely taken over and basically ruled in her stead. If she knows tropes, she might’ve expected an evil uncle or something but either way, they’d have run things and at best, put her through rigorous schooling so she could one day rule. At worst, they may have treated her just as bad as her step mom

I agree with this. At least we know the prince has some feelings for her and will actually run the territory properly. If you had to choose between marrying a much older prince that cares for you, or some random man that might only care about your title: you would choose the age gap prince old enough to be your father.

I must've missed the time skip. When she woke up and regained her memories, she was 6. Had four years passed since chapter 1 to this one already?

Chapter 1, page 10

She got her memories at her 10th birthday. It's only been over a month since then.

She regained her memories at age 10. There is a 1 week timeskip in chapter 4 to the day she escapes.
Was it only a week? I thought it was longer.

Edit: She planned her escape one week after she was ready to coincide with the party.

Ok but the crucial aspect here: can she storage away “enslavement” shackles?! I’m just assuming that they are magically enhanced to be unremoveable, otherwise having something like a brand or it just being a spell is much trickier to deal with. This could lead to her basically setting aside time to rescue a bunch of slaves and allow them to get their foothold, which in turn makes them act a s a willing shield for her.
