How did he die from such a non-fatal stab wound like that!? It's not like the sword went the other end and it's nowhere near any noticable major organ nor did it hit the spine.
Only the tip of the sword went in. At most he will bleed but as long as they keep the blade in, until treatment he shouldn't die from blood loss, since the sword is in the body and should stop the majority of the blood from spilling out.

Just the tip? That's what she said . Seriously though, it does look like it almost made it through the other side, it is a very deep stab. Hard to say from just this angle but it might have nicked the spine, a kidney or major artery around it, in which case rapid loss of blood wouldput him out.

Allen is certainly paying the price for totally skipping and neglecting all forms of close combat.

He absolutely had to do some sword training at the academy. (Which might not be saying much all things considered) But we also know he can swing a sword forcefully enough to behead a shitty prince in one swing.

He should have made a sidearm of the 9mm kind at some point.

He already made some light easily carriable handguns, including that time he used one to deal with a bunch of arrogant mooks. Oh wait, THESE ARE THE EXACT SAME MOOKS.

Also, (even though going around with no weapons in a warzone is dumb) reminder that Allen can use wind magic, and at some point got a chantless-magic perk or something that presumably should allow him to cast with almost no incantation time.

The author is making Allen carry a giant idiot-ball just for the sake of creating this now the villainess has become the true saintess moment. But it feels a less infuriatingly out of character path could have been created to get them there…

I only remembered the AK and assumed he didn't make a pistol. I mean, if he had a pistol available and was going to meet extremely dangerous prisoners, he would be carrying the pistol. There's absolutely no reason not to, especially considering his position, which is high among the duke's people. He's basically a savior, so nobody would mind him carrying one.

But then again, we have seen the author is merely a standand run-of-the-mill isekai author, which is a bottom of the barrel position as far as fiction authors go, so I got ahead of myself by bothering to criticise anything.

He had a pistol made and ready, loaded with rubber bullets in his duel with the thot's posse. And way before he went to school, he had one before he made the AK since he needed a better gun with stronger firepower, that was in the early stages of his adventuring.

Author literally decided the MC should take the L. I mean he could've pulled the glock super quick and mag dumped his ass, but chooses not to.

Bruh. the only reason it doesnt go all the way thru is because of the ground. The sword looks to have hit just below the ribs just right of the spine. Say goodbye to one kidney and the gall bladder, possibly even damage to the pancreas and one of the intestines. Sure, you can live with one kidney. But the puncture of any of the remaining organs is essentially acidic and toxic material leaking out of said organs and poisoning your body (Pancreas and gall bladder contain stuff to help with digestion and bile, while the intestines have waste). Sure, not an instant kill. But with him already having taken a beating, the pain + shock at the very least has rendered him unconscious. This is 100% a fatal wound as if the wound not disinfected, closed, and some antibiotics given to help combat all the toxic shit leaking out of those organs he will go septic and die. And lets not forget this world is medeveil fantasy. As much as Allen has guns, bombs, and areoplanes, I doubt anybody has penecillin laying around. Let alone sterile surgical tools.

This manga was so fun and the story was thought out... W-A-S. Lately, stupidity, someone's stupid nonsensical actions, are what's setting the pace, tone and progression of the story. It's a bit ridiculous. I've always wanted to ask a writer that deploys this method: if they started it with stupidity, then that stupidity is in the foundation.
