btw tl, if the mtl you're using says something about herbs, weeds, or grass fields, it pretty much says 草, which means lol in jp, so you can just substitute the 草(kusa/grass) character with lol

You're missing the joke, here, probably because most of it doesn't translate, but the core of Karin's fans speak "elegantly" in chat, using oujo-sama type phrasing, calling each other "ladies" and other such things. They quickly decided that simple grass (草) isn't elegant, so they're saying ハーブ which is literally just the english word "herb". So translating them as saying things are "herbaceous" is pretty accurate since they're deliberately using a word that is similar to the usual slang, but also weirdly different.

When new viewers come in and use the usual 草 in chat the regulars mock them for "wilting the herbs".
