I love Black Lagoon dub a lot, because you can feel the insult when Revy say something and you can feel how devastated Rock is, plus you can feel him when he said something to Revy!! awesome.

Thats why I said I will watch depend on the material.

i remember swapping through dub/sub when i first started watching it. i eventually ended up going with dub (as i'd heard it was good, and it sounded good), but i wouldn't say it's superior to the sub, especially not like Cowboy Bebop or Ghost Stories

Lupin the third also have a decent dub... well I cant say for sure, but the dub is awesome, for modern anime dub. Great Pretender is one of them and The Millionare Detective (infinite money)

point is, id say watch the sub first then the dub e.g. Houseki no Kuni, because lots of philosophy quotes are taken from real material buddhism book, but theres an instance for you to just stick with the dub. Like Ghost Stories.


Speaking of that have you watch dub Dorohedoro, I heard its decent!!

And I recommend to watch Pluto... its a reintrepret of Astro Boy, both sub and dub is awesome. And it have some of the highest rating among Netflix releases.

haven't heard a thing about the Dorohedoro dub. there's no way Ebisu's shark episode in S1 will ever be outdone by dub though. funniest scenes in all of anime

i actually watched this a couple years ago, it was really good. kind of the same slow-ish pacing/presentation as Monster (of course) that still manages to be very engrossing. it's nice having longer episodes (40-60 minutes) compared to the standard runtimes too

i'm shocked. it's solid for the entire story (70+ episodes i think). i may even rewatch it someday eventually (in sub again of course). there are no anime tropes which also makes it a good choice for normies
