Tbf, we don't know Heo and Lina's actual relationship was to make a whole judgement here. We are only told that Lina was his fiancee, with not so much more depth about all of that. On one hand, we have Heo Yoon, who might be fully delusional (lol) because he was actually surrounded by the weird kids he once helped (Lala and the twins), one of which has a full-on obsession on him... Lina might have been the only "normal" person he had met in a strange period of his life. On the other hand, we know that the lab where he worked (and assume that Lina might have worked in, as well) was doing not-so-good stuff in treating sickness and were testing in actual kids as if they were lab rats, so...
