In JP it’s 「ネットロア」or Net-Lore. When you look up images for ネットロア they’re basically Japan’s version of Creepypastas. I would’ve used “Urban Legends” if this manga didn’t already use a ton of JP words & synonyms that also meant Urban Legends…

Creepypastas being the new, and modern kids in the world of Anomalies & Mythologies makes a lot of sense. Considering what these things did to the Yōkai (the older generation of horror story Anomalies), and the twisted mind games they play with their prey, I think calling them Creepypastas was the right call.

Suzune, and Tsukinami originally wanted to include nudity to the main story, but their bosses only permitted them to add nudity & other NSFW content to the volume extras; main story must remain SFW. That’s why the end of the first chapter was heavily censored, Behemoth’s nipples were originally supposed to be exposed (the nipples were still removed in the volume version).

Also, Kousuke Tsukinami is a hentai artist. He’s apparently the younger brother of Yuu Toyota, a female BL, and Shōjo manga artist.
