Lol.
She's enjoying bullying someone who's not yet used/still training to use their powers and then wondering why they'd want to run. What a meanie!
Dragon sadism and psychopathy.
And maybe backstory. Abyss is the very reason Eldora is now living amongst humans and was just dying and not bothering to do anything about it before meeting Dion.
And potentially Dion figuring a way to fight without brute forcing it. Or maybe just dodge. Or run away while maintaining agro.
Not every fight has to be winnable. Or fair.
Or anyone in that matters..I'm surprised the dragon with ultra-sight and hearing can't see the smoke and hear the explosions from the fighting going on
Making things tense for plot reason, old classy recipe since the land before time of any shonen. What is interesting about this fight? There is nothing here at all
Which is a rarity in today antagonist. Imma evil doing evil cuz IMMA EVIL and CAN DO EVIL and BE EVIL no need bleachy reasoning.she is just a big cat that torments a kitty just because she can. she is not extacly brave here. at least she is not like the villain from the anime Helck who rabbles about despair all the time.
We spent an ungodly amount of time with the MC insisting on beating the black knight by himself to prove that he wasn't nothing without Eldora. Going back to square one is just dumb.I'm genuinely confused what people are complaining about, the MC is only worth anything because of Eldora, of course he'd be powerless to a dragon with equal or greater power to her. If you just want a manga where the MC steamrolls every adversary there are thousands like that
You're saying that like "the big bad is too dumb/arroagant to decisively kill the good guys before they become a problem" isn't the default assumption rather than the exception in battle shonen.Only reason he won't die is the enemy just playing around.
I'm not sure his death is even her priority. Through the bullshit-knight fight until its conclusion her reactions were more curiosity than hostility. (with still a lot of hostility and disdain, not contesting that) It feels more like Abyss is very curious about this weirdo that Eldora created and wants to understand its capacities and limits rather than outright squish him.First off the enemies seem absolutely intent on killing the mc and he should absolutely die here.
Right. If we exclude bad writing, the other explanation would be that she actually doesn't care about Eldora coming as long as it's a bit delayed. Probably in part because she's a dragon (semi god ?) and nobody's going to stop her from flying away (she doesn't even need to transform ?) And if her objective is really to kill Dion she assumes she can finish him in a snap of her finger. Alternatively, she doesn't care that much about whether Dion lives or dies and her actual objective is to make Eldora suffer and inflicting grief, anger and a massive dose of paranoia is good enough for her.Eldora should also never be notified in this situation. The other guy has no known reason not to stop the girl, either killing her or taking her hostage.
Subjectivity aside, isn't that something that can only be called once it's over ? Or at the very least, not after just one chapter ?in a story like this [fights] should at the very least be interesting
...I mean, his best is "the thing I threw at the Black Knight".get your shit together man, black dragon girl is right. He's just waiting for the girls to save him. Clench those fist and do your best bro
