Erufu ticked off the list!! But what happened to all that with the previous 4 or 5 chapters?? She made it out as if that monster could only be defeated by magic involving sacrifice?? 🤔 Did the mangaka/author just give up??? "Welp we'll just have blacksmith-kun lop off his head with one swing of his sword...." Ah well alls well that ends well i guess. Thanks for TL. 🙏:D
The goblin king can only be killed by magic. The elven magic sword is probably a ranged magic, and that means the square-cubed law gets to be a beeyotch: An explosion of magic energy is needed, in such intensity that overcomes the bearer's life.

Eizo's sword was certainly imbued with intense magic, hammered into the blade on his anvil. But this intense magic got hand-delivered at point blank. And don't forget also the harpoon, er, spear he launched into the goblin king's chest, which he smithed himself. So the goblin king got a double-dose of deathly magic. At point blank. Directly to its innards.

It's seems like other characters knew she want to live with mc.
Yeah the other elves, they already knew about Eizo so much because Lidy never stopped talking about him, so they all know it's just inevitable.

If the cost of just using it is it's welder own life, then better not used. Except
The "Chekhov's Gun" principle demands the sword to be used... But not now.

Remember when Eizo forged a new heirloom sword for Marcus? At that time, the first sword he forged wasn't superlative because there were so little mana in the Capital, and Eizo had to mix in his own knife into the sword.

My guess is something similar will happen: They'll need superlative swords, but he has to work where the mana is thin, so he breaks apart the mana battery sword to inject mana into some Emergency Swords.

I like that final page. In the novel it was never mentioned how the rest of the village elves felt about having Lidie to stay with Eizo and them having to move to a different forest. I like that they do know that Lidie likes living with Forge Eizo and supports her.

Just a small extra detail I'm loving from the manga.
The soldiers and knights are kind of worthless no?
In the novel, it was mentioned how the soldiers and knights were too full just keeping the goblin swarms from reaching the main group cause the goblins kept reviving as long as the boss was alive. So the plan was for the small group of Eizo and Lidie to go straight to the boss while the rest of the soldiers and knights open up a path and keep them from being surrounded. Sadly, I guess the manga didn't have time to show that.
