And not just "women like to do all that," because that's just flat out not true for a very large number of women.

And even if most women like to, (seems unlikely) that doesn't automatically lead to a culture that expects women to always do those things. Most people like ice cream, and yet, curiously, people are not expected to eat ice cream every day. Most people like to look at paintings, and yet, similarly, they are not expected to look at paintings every day. What do you think the difference is between these and make-up, clothing variety, and hairstyles? Why did we develop a culture that expects these things from women but not men?
