I hope the MC is more interesting than he appears to be so far. The girl isn't necessarily that much better. It will depend on how the reveal of how / why the breakup happened, and whether there's more depth to them then it appears.

Yes, you need a place to start from to have character growth. However, the great majority of this type of stort tend to have the mc guy (and to at least some degree the girl as well) as such a simple, flat, cliché character, they're both annoying and truly interchangeable with each other.

With better stories / characters out there, like 'I Made Friends With the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class', it's tough to care about this kind of thing if it doesn't show a little more depth after a few chapters or so.

I bet the story is going to introduce another girl who likes him from the start before we are told why they broke up.

I feel like the backstory implies that MC broke up with her because he felt like he was dragging her down. In other words this is likely the cliche where MC goes through events to find his confidence so he feels like a proper match for the heroine. Gonna stick with it for now but if it doesn't introduce anything fresh I'll probably end up dropping it

Title was something like rebuild my family... Not worth it though. Basically MC (a divorced policeman) suddenly finds out that he has a 5 y/o daughter thay his ex wife never told him about. Well a lot of efforts from MC to spend time with his daughter despite living alone is rest of the manga. Finally turns out it was his parents who didn't approve of this marriage that theh had to divorce and wife never contacted him about being pregnant. All in alll pretty stupid reasons. MC always got the short end of the stick till the end. Got axed if I remember without actually being able rebuild his family.

Would be maybe more interesting if it was made clear from the start that it was Tsuzura who broke up with Ritsu, but it's pretty obvious that's not what happened. Either he broke up with her due to lacking confidence and thinking he was a bad match for her, or they mutually agreed to discontinue their relationship because she graduated.
Well, I'll give it a few more chapters anyway.

Seems like they set up that a big piece of the puzzle is his low self-esteem and believing that he doesn't fit with her. And also that she's aggressive and teasing and it winds him up.

Why don't you two work together? I don't know how many chapters there are, but if you coordinate the work well enough, you could each work on every other chapter to make scanlation faster and nobody needs to snipe anything.
