As far as I know, someone took offense at the fan translation because the series is also simulpubbed on the Viz app (geolocked though) and sent a threatening letter directly to the physical address of the leader, arguing that it was hurting yuri and some other ramblings.

To be fair, the translation of this series by Viz is fine. It's done by a human at least, who know their stuff.

The only real problem, in this case, is the geo block, that allows only some countries to read it for free. People in Europe, LATAM and other places, are forbidden to access the series, so they can't even access it legally.

Yes, online access is the main problem, so I have to use nyaa. In the past I bought physical volumes and I didn't have issues with them, but later I started seeing versions of other titles and they were truly off-putting. Not MTL/AI as others sure, but I'm not going to defend them.

I knew that it's region locked, but never I knew that even Europe not getting the access.
The same reason also tells why the prev group brave themselves to just scanlate it.
