A simple misunderstanding can be a big rift of problems for a couple, plus adding a confusion and bad communication of each other. Hope this drama can be solved quickly, since on start this series has good aspect of cute and pure (単純) high-school romance.

The one thing he did that was fucked up was picking up a shift on Xmas eve when they had plans, and then failing to tell his boss and coworkers to stuff it when they took advantage of him and had him work overtime covering for others who wanted to fuck off and "call in sick".

He absolutely needed to not let himself get taken advantage of like that.

Everything else? Definitely on her, yes.

And the entirety of the supporting cast making him the bad guy is just one of those insufferable aspects of many a romance manga where it feels like the girl can do no wrong and even when it comes to light that this was by-and-large her fault, I'm betting none of them will admit they unfairly blamed him, much less apologize.
