Couldn't understand the last chapter
Her desperate act as researcher who can't find a cure for Persephonia.
Scorched earth tactic, "If I can't win, nobody can.", and let the world burn.
Also, basically doomed Ren's fate forever bcs when the food has became scarce later, either they (Persephonia) start consuming each other or consuming Ren as infinite foodstock.
I would say, this is actually a quite good twisted bad ending, if only they given a chance to fight back first, or she (villain) do this as her last resort in her moment of dying.
You can read Starving Anonymous for reference.

It was axed, and left with pretty unsatisfied manner, but at least there’s a silver lining.

Well at least that scumbag got what he deserved as an incredibly ironic punishment.
All the people he killed, and sacrificed with no hesitation, even forcing someone to canabilize against their will just to find someone who could help his own sister while no giving regards for others and their own family gets turned into the same monsters that he had so nonchantly been killing off all this time.

Either she kills him, or she starts killing others and then he has to kill her. There’s no happy ending for him either way.

wdym food will never become scarce. She poisoned the water supply with her blood, meaning she will probs end up making 100,000 of unkillable humans for the Persephonies to eat. This is the best possible ending for now in that the Persephonies can now eat without having to kill people.

It's pretty simple.
With the possibility of failure still existing, would you expect everyone to become another Ren?
With greed existing, would you expect every Persephonia to play the same game?

Author really tried to fit his whole plot into several chapters. Well, not the worst ending. I think it could have been pretty interesting if it wasnt axed.

She used to be a researcher like others, till she took cells in the knee. :wowee:
Ending kinda remind me of Franken Fran, honestly, it is not that bad for AXED ending, I've ATE worse. :smug:
Although, my old man cells secretly hoping for Saya no Uta ending. :haa:

I don't know if I really liked the ending, or the overall development
I thought they would become a couple, but it was just the protagonist letting himself be eaten alive simply because he felt guilty, he didn't even admit to being in love with Miyu
Perhaps I'm not the target audience, or maybe they really left out the romance I wanted
I thought they would develop them more as a couple, but it turned into a manga about magical battles and characters that didn't interest me
