KA isn't perfect. She has flaws. She didn't handle the story well which is fine.

I dont agree with this take honestly.

I definitely don't support doxxing or death threats, but what Airi is getting right now looks a lot more like harsh criticism than actual harassment. When a writer asks readers to follow a story for three years, people naturally expect a satisfying payoff. Ending it on such a bad note is going to make people upset. When you publish art, you have to expect public feedback. Calling normal fan disappointment 'harassment' just isn't fair; there's a big difference between bullying someone and simply holding a writer accountable for a really bad ending.

I haven't seen any real proof of serious threats against Airi, I just see readers calling out a writer for a poorly written story. You can't expect everyone to just stay quiet when the ending falls completely flat. Nobody deserves to be bullied, but an author has to know that a bitter, unsatisfying ending is going to get major backlash online. If you put your work out there, people are going to share their opinions. Defending bad writing just to protect a creator's feelings doesn't make sense. We aren't anywhere close to the line of actual harassment here.

Dude every post she makes gets tarred with anger posts about grapara mostly from Spanish readers who aren't even getting the manga from here there are two other groups transitioning it into that language.as for the artist I have seen a lot of harassment of her as well as Arir and we have had enough manga authors and artists badgered off of X as is. I will say this again it is Arir's story to tell in the first place nobody was tricked into reading it we all stayed here after 129 the netorare was telegraphed as soon as fuckboi was introduced. We all just had blinders on.

As for not being able to pay for grapara because you would have liked to that's not Arir's fault that in an industry problem and she can't fix that. Now I don't think her intended adenice is overseas folks so she doesn't really know how to respond to them we are more vocal with criticism and quiet when we are pleased with a story. She is Japanese so there is a disconnect there that you can't fault her for jp readers have a higher tolerance for netorare than overseas readers and to be fair to her we are not her intended audience. Even I am guilty of not realizing that.

I didn't find this as frustrating as say Aitsu no Kanojo every character is hit with a stupid stick

I beg to differ on this comparison. If it wasn't the "stupid stick" the characters in this manga were hit with a dammed mute button, as no one was able to properly express their feelings/concerns.

That's a fair comparison and really close to what happened here to but the mc in someone else's girlfriend was in fact an idiot. He also was to mysterious with the fmc's illness led to a build up he couldn't possibly live up to.

IMHO, Airi Katsura (sensei) just tried to make herself look good using Keishi Nishikida sensei as a shield because normal people don't hate the artist, they hate the author. LOL

The same situation happened to "Oshi no Ko" that most people blamed the author, Aka Akasaka sensei, not the artist, Mengo Yokoyari sensei.

Honestly, only the last few pages of the finale here really bothered me with the choice of presentation but.....ending is in fact better than I expected unironically.
