Unfollow if you will, but that's a pretty dull take. The author seems to like adding those ugly gonk faces to what's supposed to be a cute girl. And unlike lazier authors, he's actually showing us the growth instead of just waving his hands and saying "MC's overpowered now! OP owns everything and can do everything and everything bows to OP!"

And not all girls and women in manga are there to be lewded. Don't try to lewd her. Just read a story about people being interesting, instead of that boring tripe that skips the journey to (and justification for) power.

I think it's less "scared" and more "complacent". I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is the first time the local lord has had anything to do with commerce, so the merchants have gotten used to just doing what they want and giving the lord the bare minimum of respect
