I’m gonna go full nerd here for a bit, but the Prime Directive wasn’t just a plot device without substance. Within the context of Star Trek, it was created to prevent humanity from screwing up developing alien cultures by interfering with them or giving them advanced tech. Before it existed, humans were zipping around the Alpha quadrant contaminating the development of other species, because you know, humans gonna human. Kirk didn’t break it very often, Picard almost never did, and when they did (or at least when Picard did) there were severe consequences.
Yes, we know what it was, but the show just used it for cheap drama. The times when it wasn't broken were the exception, I can only think of one real occasion anyway. Not sure what you mean about consequences, each time it was claimed that doing otherwise would be worse for one reason or another.

The novel shows him getting married in the future, but we don't know who his wife is yet.

WN or LN? Because the WN has clearly delineated "if" chapters. Was this what it was in the LN?

In WN, the author explicitly states at the top of those chapters:
"This chapter has nothing to do with the plot, please read if if you would like".

Author frequently makes calls in the WN to "Please buy the LN for a bonus chapter describing X".
And stats that for WN "if" chapters as well. Not mandatory reading. Bonus events.

Usually the WN "if" chapters describe anthropomorphized pets (Kruul, Hayate, Wolf) as human "daughters", with respective hair colors, running around to their various "moms". Doesn't make it canon though. :angery:

What is he even basing that on?

Because of the fact it's actually correct. Eizo inductively deduces slowly in the WN due to the weirdness of the warding barrier and high mana around his "house", and how he can't really leave it given how he uses his powers/the forge.

The being that threw him there IS NOT the administrator of the world. Kuroneko is more of a transient acknowledged as an interstitial power or traveler, with no domain rights. MC's beliefs are confirmed during the "Dragon Vein" arc with the Spirit Queen of the Forest (if I recall correctly). He was half-right.

After resolving the Dragon Vein crisis, the Spirit Queen rewards Eizo with a token/badge "establishing his right to remain in the world" as her proxy. It's at that point Eizo relaxes a lot. And only then changes to start making long-term plans to stay with his "family" no matter what happens -- instead of prioritizing succession plan with intent for the girls to leave and return to their lives.

Such as building ballistae for defending his home. Or if that fails, practicing an evacuation route through the forest, in case (*a country) invades the forest to capture him for his work. While also keeping Liddy and Kruul fed and healthy (off magicules) using mana-stones he forges from mana out of the air. (There are health concerns.)

Last chapter I read in WN (before pausing), Eizo was practicing putting the artificial mana stones in the natural spring feeding his home onsen to experiment how it would inject mana to the surroundings.

Yes, I know it will happen in the future. But so far we've seen him making a fake heirloom sword that not only was used to elevate his friend to Countship and kill his contender, but also for a mercenary and demon whose swords may have already taken lives; he's already making an impact to the world. If he truly wanted to not change anything in the world, he could have lived a quiet life as a hermit or find a profession that didn't involve making tools of war. His "irregularity" excuse feels damn flimsy.
Well he had come to terms about his weapons, but as a decent man, it is understandable that he doesn't want to meddle more with the world he's "a guest" in.

He's probably worried that as he is "not of this world", if he meddle too much he will "be evicted". So he tried to limit his impact. And that includes avoiding having a "blessed bloodline" that has the potential to throw the world into turmoil.

Last page. Maid armor? Battle dress? Why?
Isn't that the maid that accompanied Marcus to the battle?

It's possible she hadn't had the time to change first, as she had to account for things, but Marcus already told her to fetch Eizo and Elfwaifu.

The WN is 15 volumes and 976 chapters and LN at 12, and you are telling me there is still no progress. Like look I can respect a writer if he doesn't want harem or romance, but then don't introduce the characters and don't bait people. I think its baiting people whether harem or yuri that is the worst thing you can do as author, well not the worst but up there.

You're just going to propose isekai loli marriage like that and walk away without taking responsibility?

For shame! :headpat:

He is actually super concerned about having kids, as he's worried his "bloodline", might be viewed as a foreign element, and eliminated by "the world". And prevents him from intentionally forming any deep relationships, or feeling stable enough to commit to people/places/things. He views himself as a dead man walking.

Manga touches on this very lightly, I'm appreciative mangaka did at all to be fair. But WN spends a few paragraphs/chapters here and there talking about it as a recurring theme. He ends up settling on a platonic family dynamic, even once those "irregularity" concerns are addressed. I commented about this in an earlier chapter with WN quotes/citations.
I'm still waiting for him in the WN to overcome that hump and take responsibility to make some feral kittens. :meguuusad:
