Yea, you have no idea how much I was getting confused translating it too lmao.

Keigo tends to bury what someone is actually accusing the other person of underneath layers of wording. So I'm sitting here trying to figure it out. There were definitely moments where I was rereading thinking, "Wait, am I translating this wrong, or what?" and "I swear he just explained what part he was against."

That’s just how politics work. Discrediting your enemies by pointing out what they disagreed at as a negative for the “common good” is a strategy. Borderline slander and moronic, but it’s parliamentary.

Honestly, I found the debate more realistic than I expected. While Feuillet was obviously set up for a defeat, he was more articulate than I expected, and all his points and tactics have been used in real life too, often to great effect.
