We will have to wait for the mangaka to draw a flashback to what exactly happen to him during his time in ministry. And yes, we have the novel and if there's anyone read the novel, does the author explain that incident in the novel? That's the only puzzle to piece up everything as we have many people here gets angry for everything that the father had done. As of now the manga focus on Patience only, for now.

Meanwhile, the trio of the princess' friends are still displaying their catty personalities. But neither matter to me much, I'm fully invested in what Patience will do next.

This isn't that kind of typical isekai story. It's a low-stakes, slow-life series where the MC regularly discovers new ingredients, cooks new dishes, and find the time to invent new creations for her club and friends. Things only pick up a bit once she is in her senior year and goes on her second summer vacation.
