Threat of staring and getting killed is very much real. The lie about the ghost part was to protect the slave trading corpos from accountability. Cause imagine them telling the truth.

These things are the benchmarks for the properly summoned isekai heroes, so that checks out.

Wonder if the demon actually has a goal, I can't imagine she's successfully running a full sailing ship by herself.

Interesting to think that the whole ghost ship rumor probably started because some seaman decided it would be less work to just tell the adventurers on board that it was an insta-kill ghost ship than to explain that "no, [they] cannot defeat the escaped demon slaves."

Before 1800 ish long distance voyages would only make it to their destination like 70% of the time. Its still profitable as long as revenue exceeds expenses.

It also probably depends on if she's a slave or just killed the crew because they were human and if Shima doomed the ship by being a witness to a demon attack.

The shackles suggest the demon kin was enslaved and wiped out the whole crew. Might be more of them on board just drifting around.

After Shiina being drawn as a comic relief kid type of character for long, I am really liking his design in these past chapters. I hope it doesn't go back to how it was before.
