There's some parts of this arc I think are okay. Like finding out the Slime (Sora) is capable of identifying people and 'judging' if they're good or bad. So a hidden organization after our MC makes sense for this arc, it's just that the cleanup portion has been extremely long and detailed with soooo many characters its a little ridiculous how massive this organization was considering there was already an operation to catch them before.

Yeah, I think this slavers plot is way less interesting than the author probably thinks it is.

This slavers arc lasted for something like 4 years.

This plot was actually very interesting in the LN, but it certainly helped that I read the entire thing in one night rather than spreading it out over the course of four years

I think the author might have received "your plot is too lightweight" criticisms when the story was just a little girl traveling with a slime and overcorrected into excessive complexity, forgetting that this series was sold as a slice-of-life travelogue.
