OMG OMG OMG, Nishino accidentally said I love it
Yeah “Love it” is not accurateI saw the raws, she said suki, last bubble says 好き![]()
As mentioned above the original dialogue is "suki" which translated to "like" or "I like..." with the object left unstated / implied. My general understanding as a non-speaker is that this would be interpreted as "I like you" in context but there's ambiguity since the object is left implied and could add something else to the sentence ("I like... this painting / being with you / the moon" etc.). This is one of those popular romcom situations that is really difficult to translate into English.Huh ? the "Love it". i thought she would say something to retreat, but nope just run. Do the original dialog express it more explicitly like a confess of love ?
To be honest, I'm not a fan of translating suki as "love" most of time. English speakers can generally differentiate romantic "like" from platonic "like" based on context. And "love" is too strong of a word for the stages of a relationship where these confessions usually occur in manga. This does not sound that great in English. Would typically expect Love..
