He’s being groomedAkita really can't catch a break with all the verbal and physical abuse he gets.
God knows what will happen to his mind should he ever meet a completely normal girl
this one is normal enough to give him warnings and does seem to know how much he's suffered even if she immediately went for a lethal blow on himPoor boi can't meet a normal girl ever, he's cursed to attract all the crazies! Thanks for the chapter !
I think it's been long established that in this manga, "normal" isn't even a concept, let alone a word.Akita really can't catch a break with all the verbal and physical abuse he gets.
God knows what will happen to his mind should he ever meet a completely normal girl
In fairness that's a trick literally everyone falls for. Getting someone to think you're doing one thing and doing another is fundamental to almost all martial arts. Any sort of feinting is basically trying to do that, in judo unbalancing basically comes from deception (getting someone to move in the direction you want them to).I get that the author is technically throwing harder opponents at him, but it honestly feels like this motherfucker forgets how to fight at the start of every arc and has to relearn all over again, usually via some sort of violence-related epiphany caused by getting brutalized repeatedly.
Like, how many times is he going to fall for that "lmao you were bracing for a kick but I punched you instead" shit? Every fucking opponent he has fought has pulled that trick. HE HIMSELF DID THAT SHIT BEFORE.
I think all those hits to the head gave him brain damage.
Is akita just isagi all alongThat facial expresion of Kirara's is a treasure I will defend with my life.
Also I think the whole talentless as a fighter thing for Akita is really setting up that his talent is about adaptability and a mindset that doesn't really view fights like most people do, which is why he keeps getting read like that. The explanation about the Kido-style in this chapter and the way the manga contrasted him against Fuminori makes it seem like that's the direction to me at any rate.
