How could he claim not to know how? They taught us how to braid back in elementary school arts and crafts.

Making it look good is completely different tho and best left to the competent :lul:

Pretty nice chapter. I like the balance of dialogue and montage

Ngl, this is not the best way to get a guy interested imo hahaha. I mean he already is, so it's all good. The casual physical touch invitation is good, but to then force him to braid her hair, constantly talk about his ex and also comparing him to her own ex and to give him a girly hairstyle, it's just not exactly optimal xD

I'm sure that lots of guys reading this would like it, but I just know (from personal experience - surprisingly similar to this) that many would find it a bit off-putting. Although I suppose it's rarely enough to make a guy not be interested at all, you can basically do anything you want as a girl and still succeed. The closeness is probably enough to outweigh all of that. It kinda was enough for me, but I didn't really enjoy some of those parts. I suppose I just don't do well with teasing and being forced to do some of this stuff was more annoying than pleasant. It made me feel a bit disrespected at times.

It's just interesting to see some of my experiences be retold like this. This seems to be a female author, so I guess it's not uncommon for women to think like this and enjoy doing these things. To be clear, I don't think it's malicious or wrong. It's just interesting I guess.

Sorry if my thoughts are a bit sloppy here, this just reminded me of my teenage years.

She's laughing at his dumb responses and letting him touch her hair. If that's not enough to let him know she's interested in him then he's either dense or a high school protag in a manga.
I assure you that is  not a reliable metric. It can be a sign, but that just means she trusts him. In a romcom we can make some sensible assumptions, but do not assume this irl lmao

My dear fellow internet denizen, perhaps I wasn't clear. I said her actions were enough to show that she was interested, not madly/desperately in love with him. It's the opening step, an invitation to start the dance, not the end game.

The problem with hair that length is that it takes a lot of time and effort to maintain it properly. That's one the reasons women's short hairstyle got popular.
