Yeah, it is the normal tropes. Hopefully they can do a good twist, but this is exactly why i don't like superman and why people gravitate towards batman.
Now a good plot twist, would be having a consequence to MC being overpowered, like causing people he cares about to die or him making the situation far worse. But odds are this is a power fantasy for powerless people to read on the train when they get home at 8:00 pm from a terrible day as office workers in tokyo.
That's EXACTLY the audience for this type of story. Not folks who get to have a whole 8 hours to sleep.

The best part about the fight was that from the initial grudge was resolved and the guy acknowledged that the MC was deserving of his special enrollment. And the main character just stayed consistent on wanting to learn magic itself, so that was cool. I also liked that flashback of Anoi's dad having already acknowledged his son's hard work. So none of this felt like the dumb "This guy is a bully and family problems who doesn't know his place and is compensating hard."

That said this type of fight kinda makes you wonder how there's going to be any conflict down the line. The MC truly only cares about studying and loving magic. And now we see him able to learn familial techniques in just a single battle (I do seriously believe he can pick up someone else's family's concealed magic after seeing it in action long enough), which isn't just unfair but in this type of world seems like it'd cause major social unrest. It can be fun if it's just the MC learning magic through any means (including fights), but it's also like this was three chapters and we all knew the outcome... I'm just saying.

Zenon making everyone around him remember their love for magic is great. I'm glad he finally saw that Zenon wasn't mocking him at all. The pure magic idiot is just enjoying the moment.

Reading this feels like when comic books went from 25-30 pages to 8. It gets the point where the chapters are so short that they might as well not even exist and instead become a yearly release or something. :(

Bro joins the harem as the tsundere.

Seriously I don't really like it if the MC just copy the power and overpowered him in the exact way the opponent meant to use the power.
He said he only copied the surface, but yet still overwhelmed him without any creative way to make up the difference in experience of close range battle.
That's practically make this new friend has no strong signature thing to offer since his best (that is build up in years of efforts) is worthless against a less than a day cheap copy of the MC.
Rmember that the MC has tremendous amounts of mana AND the magic eyes

Thank God that's over.

I can see where maybe anal long stretch doesn't get in too much trouble for this, as his opponent was the Second Son of a duke; despite his reputation, the rank of Duke is only second to monarchy except in rare cases where some numbskull is playing around with Margraves, Marquis, and Pfaltzgrafs, or if there's an Archduke, or a Grand Duke, but... nobody really used the first three that much, and those remaining two are generally just the siblings of a monarch, so them don't count none.

So, we'll see how that turns out... but... hopefully this doesn't cause distress between his brother or father; I really like the titles where the villain/villainess just does their best to not be a shitty person (by modern standards), and ends up changing things for the better.
It's uplifting, and gives me hope for the world, just a little...

Anyway, glad the fight's finally fuckin done.

Thanks for the TL!

I do like Anoi. He's a good sport and mature guy.

He just needs a little joy and whimsy in his life to round him out.

There isn't. People will just go 'wow! He's amazing!' and worship the ground he walks on without letting anything else really affect daily life, save for the inevitable enemies that will try to take advantage of him directly and then immediately get stomped out. How I'm viewing it is a slice of life about a Literal God of Magic futzing around and enjoying seeing what mortals have come up with in between his naps. Nothing he can't replicate immediately, but he figures it's fun to see what was innovated during his nap. The point of the story isn't 'how will Zenon resolve this conflict', it's 'watch a god have fun in his personal sandbox'.

That's why I like "I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Will Perfect My Magic as I Please"
The dude doesn't just overpowers the opponents in the way they are supposed to use their own powers but learns from it and creates new stuff. But then the compentant villians he sometimes fight then do the same thing back to him. The MC in that story could just overpower them and win regardless but all he cares about is the joy of learning, so he won't do that.

FINALLY the fight is over! Seriously, you shouldn't dedicate a fourth of a manga series' chapters to a single fight.
