Ewww...gross. The Prince is gross. Is being forced to swear fealty to him supposed to be romantic, because it's not. It's just creepy. I'm kind of hoping that there'll be a new character that actually, you know, RESPECTS the female lead instead of looking at her like an interesting bug he found. She's the daughter of a duke. The rank of duke/duchess is just under king/queen. This is usually where the ruling family gets their princesses. Remember, she was engaged to the 2nd prince before, so her being a princess was pretty much guaranteed, until he annulled it.

And they explained that she was engaged to the 2nd prince because of the blessing she had--she can manipulate time. She overused it during the ball--that's why she passed out.

As for 1st prince, eh, she could do better. "I find you entertaining." is not the basis of a good relationship.
