I don't really see her as a hypocrite, more so that she is blissfully ignorant of her surroundings. Perhaps there will be a turning point in the plot that will open her eyes. Although, I can also understand why Mr. Edward perceives her as a hypocrite. It is evident he has disdain for the nobles...

I can kinda see why she is naive. She has lived a sheltered life all this time, but that means we can anticipate evident growth in character later on. The guy seems like a sociopath, but I think it has to do with him being a commoner and having distaste for the nobles and the social class disparity.
