i think the demons are descendants of the orginal humans just given some kind of mutagen to evolve traits to survive a harsher environment whilst waiting for the earth to be fixed whilst the current humans are artificial probably clones

there's a theory that Mr.Andrews wife is Tanya and he's deliberately covering it up but still showing reverence to his wife by calling her a "Goddess"
there's a new theory though that Mr. Andrews wife is Erya ( the spy) and is under surveillance even now
people don't seem to realize he has no control where he resets, if he chooses to reset now he might just reset the same day he woke up 2 years later.

a little fun fact: during the WN period before the LN was a thing that shadow (the one following naofumi around) was planned to be added into naofumis harem and she was written as the Queens body double and most trusted shadow as she is the queens twin sister but it was cut during the LN development
