That's alright, we might pick something else up if anything. The original reason I even took on this project was to fully read the story to its conclusion. I just didn't expect to kind of enjoy the redrawing aspect of it, even if I am not the best at it by any stretch of the imagination.

I agree, and the manga also gives a plausible explanation as to why she even revealed it. It's a little subtle in the translation but in the OG japanese version the mother says a specific Modern Japanese phrase, that only existed in modern japanese, that's what made her reveal it.
