  • How many pages in a manga chapter is appropriate for you?

I'm a translator and one of the longest I remember is 26 (Hell Mode) and the shortest 11 (Ghoul ga Sekai)

    I'd say 16.

It depends. But 20-30 are good, i must motivate myself to read longer chapters or oneshots. I prefer to read mangas with 30/35+ pages chapters in a big reading burst, rather than chapter per chapter every week/month. Since they generally have a monthly publication schedule, it's the way to do it, anyway. 4/10 pages chapters are nice when you're bored and to motivated to read longer chapters.
I wanna draw a manga but can't decide on one of the two novel I wrote

Would y'all like more of a LitRPG or a medieval fantasy?

Just for clarification, LitRPG is Literature RPG, yea? What's that like?

    Yeah no

I hate world building with game mechanic. The plot usually meh about "cheating the system" and being OP without deserving it

Medieval fantasy all the way bro
My typesetter have fucked up so many times now that I'm so disappointed. God damn it, fuck. Am I in the wrong if it's multiple times?

^The image above is how they did it, but the way I numbered it out and hand it to them was 1 > 4 > 2 > 5 > 3 > 6. Now the important page need fixing

According to someone on discord, I was wrong, apologies

I agree with your way of numbering tbh
Japanese manga made a real life reference.
Guess what, it's translated differently in Japan, so you now gotta look it up in Japanese wiki and compare it with English wiki.

Praying Mantis (heavy metal band) have their debut album in 1981 called Time Tells No Lies
But in Japanese, it said 戦慄のマンティス, which is the Japanese exclusive name translating to Mantis of Terror.
I freaking hate translating Hell Mode when the chapter's a wall of text about weird skill name, how do you translate this skill? Unstopping Strikes?

That seems like the kanji for Explosion, and then followed by strike, so... Exploding Strike? Bombing?
    L
    Luoir
By the context of it being a Berserker character, I'd assume it means he'd attack that thing nonstoppingly, bombarding

But a few pages down it shows he using that skill so thank god it won't be necessary for hours of research, I finished translating this chapter, I'm going to sleep, fuck this.
Can I draw my own manga and have it published on Mangadex?
Someone called out a Vietnamese trans site for sniping multiple stories for their gains, and guess how the community react? Bashing the one that's calling it out because "There's no rule protecting the sniped group, the sniper can do whatever they wish."

Original post: This site has been sniping multiple rising story!

"Who the fuck says they can't"
"This society is very pragmatic, bro. You are probably still a student and have not yet been exposed to the real life."
"I only care if there's something to read."

Works great until one of the plagiarized authors slaps someone with a copyright cease-and-desist. Then it gets weird.
Me to my proofreader when the next chapter is peak and we have to pick our words carefully to convey the power of the scene

so what did you put in the end? one horned beast?
    L
    Luoir
TL note: 一角獸 (ikkakujū) can be translated roughly to one-horned beast/animal, but in reality it’s a word for unicorn. After extensive research at 3AM and philosophical consideration from the translator, he decided to put down Unicorn

    Luoir
No seriously I was translating that chapter at 3 AM lol, took way too long of a research and thinking
One thing I recognized is the word "it" does not sit well when reading and translator would opt for "that thing" "that"
