I am aware of that, ahaha. It was モンプチ Mon Petit in the Japanese text. Maybe Sakaki just likes the sound of the masculine form better.

(Apologies for the late reply!) We normally went with guillemets (« and ») and a different font to represent English dialogue in this translation, but for Kimura's bit in particular, the fact that it was the original source of "mai waifu" as Internet slang made writing out the romaji...

This is the last chapter that has an equivalent on the main Azumanga Daioh entry, so from here on out, the rest is new material for this site.

I should clarify that the volume numbering order is a little bit different in this release. The original release had somewhat inconsistent numbering for each volume (volume 1 was chapters 1-10, volume 2 was chapters 11-18, volume 3 was chapters 19-27, volume 4 was chapters 28-36). This version...

In this version, it's Chihiro (Kaorin's friend, the girl Chiyo helps in the first chapter). My guess is that he wanted to use an established character rather than a random nameless dude.

I figured I would upload this here as well, mostly because these scans are a bit higher quality than the existing ones, and there are few subtle differences in my translation. I'm currently working on the 2009 print of Azumanga Daioh where these chapters come from, so you can also read them...

Sorry, this is a really dumb question, but I uploaded a one-shot from an anthology as a standalone by mistake. Is there any way to delete or merge that entry so I can move it to the appropriate anthology page? I assume there's an option somewhere, but I haven't seen it.

More Azumanga Daioh 2009 pages are on the way, but my friend wanted me to translate this doujin because it holds special significance to her, so I figured I would upload it here as well. It's short and sweet.
