IIRC, Sou from the 1.39 ratio world was pretty much a typical woman hating dude. Or at least very hostile and had trauma from that sperm bank place also a NEET and rarely left his room.
So maybe Akane wanted to a do over? Raise her second son better?

EDIT: I had a brainfart moment, Sou would be have been small child around 4 years old when Sakura was born.
