Lorraine happiness is a bit shadow by the badass gramps getting rid of Viese at the end, though both are connected, as the straw that broke the camel's back was trying to almost literally sell Lorraine as profit, just as gramps said.
He takes care of his family, hence, why Viese is ruled out... He didn't care for her own child, he was going to sell her regardless her feelings and knowing she would never be happy just to make profit for himself. Gramps won't let anyone take profit of his family, ANYONE, even his own children. Fuck you, Viese, your little girl was shattered in pain about the marriage with trash first price and you couldn't care less.
Gramps protects his family, even from his own family.

I think what he is missing from this whole thing is that the grandfather was being kind enough to not immediately kick Vieze out. He just moved him to the Annex. Like sure he doesn’t have his allowance or job anymore but he still has a roof over his head and all his possessions for however long he’s allowed to stay there. If he was really sorry. If he was actually capable then he would take this time to sell what he needed to to get his wife and son set up with home and have a enough funds to pay for things until he can set up employment for himself likely a business. He still has a chance to make things right and get back in his father’s good graces through his actions. It more than Tia had when she was kicked out. But if Vieze could see this as the opportunity it is, he wouldn’t be in this situation.

wow, I've been reading this for a good 4 years now. Vieze Lombardi finally losing the right has the next successor is just too good to witness, but stripping all his rights as Lombardi, especially when he is the first son, lol, the embarrassment and shame he must feel right now is priceless.
