Somehow this is exactly what I wanted to happen yet still unsatisfying. Are we really going to pretend like they don’t already like each other and acknowledge that they like each other? I get that “he’s supposed to be with someone else” but for someone who has changed so much what’s the issue in changing this? I will withhold being to put off by this right now but I hope they give a reason why they can’t be together and also make plans to bypass that.

He said matriarch! I would have been tempted to TL as "She could be the matriarch in this life!" For the lols alone.

This is an interesting development, because it creates conflict between Tia and Perez. Tia, who wants to be the Lombardi head, and Perez, who wants Tia as his Empress. Tia believes she can't marry Perez because she wants him to become Emperor. Can they compromise with an Empress/Family Head dual jobs? Would he leave the royal family to marry into Lombardi (giving that dolt Astana the throne)?

I'm expecting him to propose for real right after they finish the contract. Perez doesn't seem like that kind of guy that would try to exploit loopholes to try to keep Tia if she didn't actually want to.
