I'm not that evil, it's over already. The shadow is Mio.

To the creatures lurking in the depths of these forums, here's a banana as your consolation prize, and get lost, rats.

Now, to the good folks — let’s get back to Hajimete no Gal! I can already see another 100 chapters coming our way...

Eh, pretty much where I thought this was going, minus the rushed axe ending of having the old teacher come back to blackmail her. Knew it back then that she had probably hated the older brother for some type of abuse and was actually happy he had died.

Ironically its almost a good thing you had that tiff with the moderators, saved us from having to deal with how bad this last burst of chapters was by dumping them at once rather than slowly roll it out.

I didn't expect a chapter dump that would lead to the end of the story. While it had flaws, I liked it when it was suspenseful thinking someone was going to get hurt or worse dead. Regardless of the rushed ending, I don't regret reading this & I'm Ueno Meguru sensei will be fine with another work assuming Hajimete no Gal is still ongoing. Thanks for translating this to completion even with all the drama that came with it.

Thanks for coming back and dumping all the chapters at once! I think I have a more positive reaction to the ending stretch than if I were to read them one by one every couple weeks or so. I am a little disappointed at the final chapter timeskip but it is what it is. The only confusing thing to me though is did he break up with Mio to try and chase after Akeno again? Like the love triangle felt pretty half-assed but I'm guessing that's because of time constraints/the manga being axed.

I took a look at the estimated physical sales figures for the first two volumes based on Shoseki Ranking data, and they weren’t exactly impressive. Volume 1 sold an estimated 1,100 copies in its first week, while Volume 2 did slightly better with around 2,238 copies. Those numbers aren't terrible on their own, but if they fell short of expectations—and if digital sales weren’t strong either—I can see why the series might have been axed.

Thanks for the chapter!
