Ain't protecting us no more, I have to tick a box saying I have the right to upload the content now. Looks like responsibility is being pushed onto scanlators entirely. I doubt Young Jump are about to give me permission to translate the last few chapters of Yuuutsu, even if its for free. It's funny how mangadex touted itself as protecting scanlation groups when it can't even protect itself lol
¿what am i supposed to use then?, the only way i've seen how to track what i've read is the "eye" chapter read markerSo for the users that use chapter read markers for tracking (please don't),
I think I said before, if the purge didn't kill mangadex then that little box will.Ain't protecting us no more, I have to tick a box saying I have the right to upload the content now. This really should be a standard feature with the ways sites come and go.Also fun fact, exporting your library was requested as a feature 2 years ago. Maybe now it can finally be implemented?
that's how they do it, just blanket claim because the law favors the accuserThe first manga I ever did a scanlation of got struck
Honestly why, it's four years old, got axed at three volumes, and never got licensed.
And "we can't let the children see ethnics food" redraws or censoring like the suddenly-burgers in Pokemon. And even if they didn't stop it might still have shitty translation compared to fan translation and expensive as fuck to boot.
it's getting worked nowexporting your library was requested as a feature 2 years ago. Maybe now it can finally be implemented?
They can also argue duplication of artwork, unauthorized use of logos/trademarks/trademarked characters...It's certainly arguable depending on the state of 'official' translations (read: quality/if they exist), even regardless of that it might be argued that the scanlator has proof of work on their translations; this is especially relevant if they were released for free or they were released before the official translations were started.
Oh wow, it really is over huhAin't protecting us no more, I have to tick a box saying I have the right to upload the content now. Looks like responsibility is being pushed onto scanlators entirely. That kind of box is fine, it lets the site more easily say "we didn't know it was copyrighted, user said it wasn't".I think I said before, if the purge didn't kill mangadex then that little box will.
Like, many groups will leave mangadex due to not being safe, which means even more people will leave, the little box just ensure that even more groups will leave.
The little box is arguably offensive to any groups who uploads here, like, having the right to upload here? Is that a joke? What publisher would ever give that right? Entire point is that we're pirating it lol
Did you link the wrong post? That one doesn't say anything about being able to export your reading list. Better late than never I guess, glad the DMCAs are making someone get off their ass.it's getting worked now
