Oh for fuck's sake. We don't need a flashback mid swing. You already set up he was going to come up with counter-measures of his own. His complex about being a "fake" is just dumb. If that was going to be a major character flaw, then why would you reveal it to us through these half-assed flashbacks? I know it's cliche but show us the fall, don't start the series in media res. We're going with the insane pacifist mindset after he just watched her "kill" dozens of people? He can't stomach violence but dissolving bodies with slimes, skinning alive, and smashing someone's arms with a billy club is fine? Don't seal the mage's mouth or knock them unconscious though, that might actually be helpful.

I'm normally all about sparing the potential harem member if possible but there's no way in hell I'd allow all of this to continue. He's going to keep talk-no-jutsuing as the bodies pile up around him and it won't even be believable if it works.
