Looks like the previous scanlator removed the chapters they did. You can find them elsewhere if you look. People are discussing other places to go on reddit, so start there. If I have extra time, I might redo the earlier chapters myself with cleaner editing, but that's way down the list for now.
This series was hit by the massive DMCA takedown last week, due to being published by one of the participating publishers (Kodansha). For all affected series, all chapters from before 2 months ago were removed. I saw the earlier chapters for this series were gone the day the DMCA takedown happened.

Oh no, Eiji seemed to get a faint clue that he might've been an accessory to murder! I don't think he's gonna go to cops about it though. I think he'd confront Marie first, being the adorable simp of a puppy that he's been shown to be.

it's a small-ish detail, but i really like how they're wearing different clothes in every scene where they would have reason to dress up (like going out, but they wear the same pajamas when sleeping and such). it's nice when an author puts a lot of thought and effort into outfits for characters that claim to be fashionable

I think it’s the DMCA thing! A bunch of works got stuff wiped out but the recent uploads stayed.

Or the other scanlators decided to delete it themselves because of the DMCA. I am not sure at what point the group changed.

might have been afraid after all the take downs

huh i should've figured, thanks
And none of y'all have the figures,eh?

Well,it's 7000+ series that got hit,and it was started by a Korean company who convinced three others.

Current identified body count is 2113,and yes, that spreedsheet also lists this comic.

What's worse, and what's now also adding to the reasons for scanlators to GTHO of Dodge,is that Mangadex added a small clause before one can upload a chapter, stating that the scan they're about to upload has permission from the artist/author/publisher.

Series that are long gone out of print?
Series that are long gone completed a decade or more ago?
Series that are long gone forever unfinished due to the artist/author/publisher having stopped due to any number of reasons?
Series that are completely available but the artist/author/publisher refuses to respond?

Any reason at all that would prevent a scanlator from being ever able to gain permission, assuming permission would be granted upon making contact, all that jazz?

Unless Mangadex makes a clause for that, poof, series that could've been added can't,series that were awaiting their chance can't,future prospects are terrible.

The only silver lining in all this is that series that don't fall under the jurisdiction of the strike, mostly Twitter works, and works from other publishers are still alive, and would probably gain more traction.
