Man, everything fun here is getting banned.

I was going to buy a shitty little Tokarev because it was super cheap and I could get the ammo pretty cheap too, all handguns banned.

They spent years going through all the legal nonsense so the Kris Vector (.22lr, 9mm and 45acp) could be sold here and I was going to buy one, banned.

Was going to buy a Type 81 (they were insanely cheap here by comparison), banned.

OK, so I can just buy buy a Ruger 9mm carbine, nope, that's banned too.

Stupid Hi Point 9mm carbine, banned.

Kel-Tec might as well not exists here any more either.
Wtf man, what do these people expect us to defend ourselves with? Rocks? Cause I assume bladed weapons are out of the equation give it some time and I'm sure they target slingshots next

Pretty sure I heard there's a territory in Australia that's going to ban sales of machetes shortly, due to a fight in a shopping mall.

I still have some PVC squirreled away; who wants to build a potato cannon? (Or did they already make those illegal? I built a few in high school, and they were good fun.)

Self defence is basically illegal here, I'm not kidding. In one of the towns around here, a guy shot and killed an armed intruder who broke into his home while he was living with and caring for his disabled mother and they tried to get him with murder 1.

A police chief in a major city told people to leave their valuables by the door so the criminals can break in and get what they want and leave right away.

I don't live a particularly bad area (my city does have major drug problems though), so I just have chase off the odd junkie trying to break into cars and/or steal stuff from our yards.

I'm actually worried that they might ban something I take with me when I got up North. I've had some pretty terrifying encounters with the wildlife up there and while I don't want to shoot them if I don't have to (or if I'm not actually hunting them and have my tags), I don't want to get mauled by a Bear in the middle of a forest, or trampled by a Moose (I also hear there's Wendigo up there :worry:).

That is so disgusting to hear but not surprising the people in charge make up these stupid laws that do nothing but punish law abiding citizens. In what world does it make sense to charge a man for murder for defending his home and his family from an armed intruder? Why spend so many hours busting your ass off to afford anything when you can simply just go out and steal it after all if they try to stop you you can just beat them half to death no? they should've just left it by the front door. This type of mentality brings nothing but harm to good, honest, and hard working people.

I remember seeing vids of people in their respective shitty part of town just leaving their cars unlocked, trunk open and everything. How they tolerate this, I cannot even begin to grasp.

The Coyotes are actually pretty bad here too. I hear them in the city, right across the street from me and they star howling like crazy every time the cops go by with their sirens on.

A while ago when I went camping (I was passed out on a picnic table), a pack of them came running through our camp site, so I woke up and decided it was a good time to sleep in the car instead. It was actually pretty sad because there was a trailer camping area not too far down from us and some of the people there thought it was safe to have their dogs leashed outside for the night. I'm not going to say hearing (I mean hearing them get attacked by the pack) what happened to their dogs gave me nightmares or anything, but I did feel pretty bad for them. When we went out by the water in the morning, all we found were paw prints and spent shotgun shells. We found out that the Park Services guys got out there as quick as possible and had to cull the entire pack before they got even more bold and started attacking people.

I think I might have better odds with one of them over a Wendigo (I'm pretty sure my grandmother would actually beat my ass for joking about Wendigo if she was still alive).

Happens more often than not im afraid thankfully they culled the pack before they attacked anyone i know they like to target children once they get bold or desperate enough so at least that didn't happen a shame about the dogs though no matter how big or tough they may have been just the fact they were leashed is almost certainly gonna end up badly for the dog.

My mom and other relatives have some good stories about el pombero, my gramps used to hunt in the paraguayan chaco and always brought some booze and cigs with him as tax.

Yeah, it's usually a really safe campground, so normally leaving your dogs out at night is actually safe. Aside from one other time where they had to tranq and capture an extremely lost black bear (this thing wandered really far south), there's not really any dangerous wildlife on the grounds. As long as you don't piss off the Canadian Geese anyway.

That should be right around the area for Skin Walkers, so there's that.

I'm not really a fan of that one, just because the story behind it creeped me out pretty bad the first time I heard it.

They're speeding things up yes, unlike with the late ban on UK about "zombie knives": https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clyvxxd4knjo
Here you can only have a weapon with a good reason and you can't show it on the streets for instance, this doesn't stop crime but at least an angry person won't pull out a handgun the moment you blink. Should the situation become dire, they would just put a curtail and even deploy the army on the streets.

It's bullshit that I can't even log out on the browser I'm using atm and that I have to resort to using Edge when I want to read the comments on manga chapters.

And Mangadex is falling apart when I'm not there.

Coincidence? I think not.
