Most of these stories jump the shark or overstay their welcome. This one hit all the right notes of a revenge story and executed them very well. Excellent ending, touching, intimate and not oversaturated with unnecessary characters.

[Some difference from WN and Manga and extras]
In the WN ending, Remilia was devoid of any love for anything else beside Emi as all the other things are simply a means to an end for her goal. So seeing that Remilia was emotional after all of those and reunited with Emi was 100% satisfaction!!

There is actually an additional what if story that takes place if Pina body was never taken over by fake Pina. Remilia and Prince become King and Queen while Pina continue to cleanse the world from evil. Later it was revealed that it was all a dream inside the now reborn Pina (male) who was woken up by reborn Emi.

continuing this what-if scenario
the interesting thing is remilia finally reborn as the daughter of emi and the prince, with emi finally realize the remilia inside her is gone, before remilia is reborn, the prince grown as good king and doting parent to reborn remilia
good pina still single, she consider angel as more like older brother tough

the more interesting thing is, it later showed that there's some kind of bond between angel and the reborn child remilia
age gap indeed
