ugh, chapter so good but punching me in the feelings. These poor folks are getting stressed out by the nasty behavior at their company, but they're unable to direct their stress at the people who caused it- so they unfortunately take it out on each other. I get where Kurone is coming from, feeling like her sanctuary is being invaded. She realizes she was wrong to take it out on Kitaooji. Kitaooji doesn't realize how he's stepping on her territory, like an oblivious puppy.

Solidarity, comrades! Unite your workplace into a union and end the overtime. Maybe install a Nickelodeon slime tank over the boss's desk that triggers at 6pm.

Kitaooji is really great at interacting with others. It's interesting how he gets to be both happy and effortlessly liked when he is his true self, but when he acts as "the prince of the sales department" he's only effortlessly liked and not happy. Some people are just born extroverts.

I wonder what will happen next chapter. Kurone has definitely changed Kitaooji's outlook on life, so I would expect for the inverse to happen as well. I think Kurone will probably realize that communication is a two-way street, and talk to Kitaooji about her feelings instead of pushing him away further. Yes, she's very big on keeping things to herself, but Kitaooji does fine when he presents himself to the world and unleashes his inner rakugo nerd; he becomes happier when he does so.

Speaking of rakugo, I looked up 「時そば」– the rakugo story mentioned. It was pretty funny, and I was astonished by how interesting and expressive rakugo is. Thanks for introducing me to rakugo, Kitaooji!

Also, a small correction: there's a minor error on the bottom of page 13: "by the way, do [you] know the info?" is what I assume it is supposed to be.

Unfortunate what happened to your laptop, I figured something might be like that, but I am glad you were able to replace it, and good luck and try to enjoy your time in Kyoto. As for the DMCA stuff... it is certainly a problem... but unless something happens I hope you'll continue at your own pace. I love this series so much it's really good.

This chapter was quite good. I do feel bad for Kurone... but I am sure things will work out with her and Kitaooji and perhaps they can help each other with their problems. Little by little. Plus all the cute kitties and the rakugo proclivities. Just... a great chapter. This series continues to be amazing. It really does feel like it was made for me even though it obviously wasn't.

detarameMangadex If you find yourself curious about rakugo there is a currently on-going series that I would recommend. It's called Akane-banashi. It's easily my favourite series of all time and I highly recommend it. Another series with rakugo is Descending Stories: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju. I've only read a couple chapters, and apparently it gets a bit weird towards, the end, but it is also an option. My Master Has No Tail is another series about rakugo and I only watched the anime for it, but it was pretty cute, and I would love to be able to read from where the anime left off. It is pretty good. While Akane-banashi is on-going both Descending Stories and My Master Has No Tail are complete.

I'm glad you're enjoying it! It was painful as a college student to not have a functional laptop, but now that I have one again I feel like i need to be as productive as I can or it's a waste haha. technology is the future I guess....

Thank you for the long comment! I admit myself I was only somewhat familiar with Rakugo as a concept before starting Kurone from passing remarks made in my Japanese Culture classes. It's a very interesting thing to learn about, but because of lost context when translating between languages, It's hard to find places to research the stories that are in English. Not to mention that some stories take place outside of modern day Japan. Even though it's hard to research on, I still find it very entertaining. If you have the chance, please take a look at this video! It's what I based my translation of, and it's one of few English Rakugo performances that I know of, but I need to do more research.

I feel a deep connection with cats, so Kurone is "literally me", haha. I think I've read like 10 of those and I never can get enough. Wish it had an official print release so I could buy it. But I'll probably buy a book anyway to support the author.

Also.. does someone else experiences broken pages or is it just me? Happens with a lot of series, some pages I just can't open at all...
