i think Fine was a better example of how to do a female mikagami, this new girl is just a loudmouth with no accomplishments to her name aside from not being conceited (i guess?) they at least should have had we win in other matches first or something to distinguish her as a threat outside of the match

Hmm, there's a couple of differences off the bat:
-the hairstyle - not that it couldn't change later on.
-the forehead gem.
-ears. That design is often used for demi-humans, like the half-elves, dwarfs, demons, lamias... Paula's haven't been shown - at least not yet.

Likely not Zulu, but I think the bottom-left girl could pass for her with shorter hair, plus without the hairband and ahoge.
Top-right looks to be a dark elf.
Bottom-right girl is Suzu.

It's been lingering in the back of my mind why these 4 are here and highlighted, and not the 4 Heavenly Kings(Mary, Marl, Alice, and Fine) instead. Heck, there's 3 other ladies in the back, and one of them is Zayd(on the right).

Meh. Seeing how J@p00neeze gaym0rz are 99 % framerate-locked console jockeys, that's only a tenth of a second. A fifth, even. Not exactly casual territory anymore, but doable.

Also depends on what qualifies as "reaction" at any point in the gameplay loop. Could be something super small, could be monumental. Could indeed have been a figure that originally appeared in a very specific, idealized lab context; but since it's such a rad-sounding, spindly-esports-flexing meme figure it is now parroted all over the place.

Likely because we dont feel like theres any stakes and they dont bother explaining why theres an actual problem or even a conclusion to any of this.

We are left expecting that forever he will just keep fighting random people, pulling magical deus ex machina solutions out of his ass, and banging new chicks with a whole host of mental issues.

Theres no ending, theres no stakes, theres just the same thing. over. and over. and over.

edit: and actually to the point where ive legitimately forgotten who some of the earlier chicks are already.

Personally, I'm mostly annoyed that the manga barely tries to flesh any of the characters out. It's a constant cycle of fight-fuck-train/investigate and it's getting dull, there's six people in the harem already, presumably will be eight after this fight concludes, and none of them have gotten much screentime beyond their original fight/duo match. Is it too much to ask to give us a breather and the existing girls a little more characterization? I don't want 20 haremettes when the manga can't even treat a handful right.

Yeah, there's also the problem with the title... it means that this story will be focused on the MC's struggle within Coliseum. It implies the story would end after he conquers it and sadly won't go beyond to what's happening beyond Bumbledol. Here's hoping this would be popular enough that the author would make a sequel with MC being now caught up with event beyond the Coliseum as people would go to him for his services as the grand winner of tournament who won his freedom (and a ton of skilled women follow him)
