Everyone shocked that the nice boy Cross is being nice :shamihuh:

Anyway, I’m glad that he became an ally. It’s a classic trope where the Protag beats up a guy that would become his closest ally. Pretty much every old action manga has done it and it‘s a classic for a reason (coughVegetacough).

Forgiveness after attemping assassination, damn overused clichè.
Anyway, thank for the mass releases.
yah, the boy is too kind but it's a good balance with the ruthlessness of the masters,
the noble kid will be most useful alive anyway

Look I understand he's still a kid not wanting to see people die, but there has to be a limit to his kindness as a hero. I would've settled for the entire Waldrea faction to be in complete ruin & Gimlet be that perverted noble's servant as he proposed in the duel (or be tortured to the point of being a completely different person & keeping the lack of hair). Not a fan of the result but I will say that it seems like the Waldrea family share a common thing where they piss themselves once you scare them. Thanks for the translations.
he was recently taught how to behave a bit badly but he is still not there, he is too kind
that's also why they fell for him
the boy is pure
forgiveness is harder to do than massacre for most

First, Giselle and her minions acted like buddy buddy and cheered for Cross when he won against Gimlet after everything they made him suffered. Not to mention the bullshit "we bully you because we care about you" last chapters.
And now we got Gimlet being easy forgiven and reformed. Man.
gotta agree they all got off easy because Cross is too kind

To those complaining that Cross is too forgiving... yeah. This just isn't your series. If you want MC's that'll show no remorse, mercy or ethics you'll just have to settle for... what do you call chinese Manhua/Novel? What was it Wuxia or something?:thonk: You'll get your fill of MC's of burying entire families and their pets there for the smallest of slights.:shamihuh:
yeah chinese are over the top when it comes to getting back at people, very ruthless

hmmnnnggg.... Not exactly excited the noble shithead did a total 180 like that (though it does feel somewhat similar to how Alice 180'd in Iruma-kun and I love that series..) and hey the father seems like a respectable enough dude.. Then again when faced against absolute monsters of S class adventurers like that, you rlly only have the option of being as respectful as possible..
Glad I wasn't the only one thinking about Iruma and Azz, though Azz wasn't nearly as bad as Gimlet.

I love the father's introduction. The most badass soldier pissing himself in fear at his son antagonizing not one but three of the most dangerous people in the kingdom.

And I like Cross turning the other cheek. He fights to defend those who are in need, but when peace can be attained, he will accept it. His love for his friends makes him strong. He could wield Amoracchius. Though the blade is as long as his body, so maybe not yet.

Vengeance can make some feel good after it, but it is harder to forgive, and i quite sometimes like when someone truly changes for the better

I expected those comments about Cross' forgiveness. But I'm not surprised.

After what happened with Giselle, it should have been obvious that this is a feel good shounen manga with a goody two-shoes as MC, at least for now. I expect we'll meet a true villain only when we'll meet the final boss and their goons, and even then I'm not sure that boss won't become BFF with Cross.

yeah chinese are over the top when it comes to getting back at people, very ruthless

That reminds me of I Am The Fated Villain, a manhua, where the MC even rapes a woman who was sent to spy on him or his fiancee I think. If you people want some merciless MC, that's what you should read. As for me, that's where I dropped it. :lul:

Anyone else annoyed at the good·y two shoes nature of the MC...
Nope. He was stuck at the bottom rung for most of his life. He was powerless in a world of supers. He understands what it means to be weak and in the power of others, and so even as he ascends in power, he remembers his humility and refuses to hold grudges longer than needed, and doesn't look down on others.

Cross, you absolute retard. If your masters weren't as strong as they are, all of you would be dead.

And did you already forget that this guy was planning to pimp you out as a sex slave?

This is the shit that pisses me off about Japanese main characters man, this sickening concept of "kindness" above all things. There's a huge difference between magnanimity and naive stupidity, it's one thing to become friends with a person that you had a life or death battle against, it's a whole other thing to go out of your way to graciously forgive and even protect someone who literally hired people to kill you and your loved ones for bullshit reasons.
I hate how often in Japanese manga, even when there's a halfway decent story, it's always the character design of the main character themself that ruins the reading experience.
