Not just the top rank adventurer, but apparently (according to ch.1) so important that he's the sole man responsible for holding up Japan's energy infrastructure through his adventuring... and yet this isn't even known within the guild?

I'm not really surprised that he's not known by the basic low level guild receptionists. It's entirely plausible that, since he's so high ranked, he's essentially got his own personal guild contact (or team) that handled all of his stuff. Important clients, big business, wealthy individuals etc, routinely get to skip the cattle class rubbish us normies have to deal with.

That said, it is a bit surprising that there doesn't seem to be any indication on his guild card, but maybe that's by design of the guild system. (and the incompetence of the idiots that blacklisted him)
