I hope this series is actually revenge but then again most manga that says i'm gonna get revenge has 0 revenge. And the sister is obviously a piece of shit lol.

you know, I do like that Karina actually gets to go back to her castle, and then leaves with her wife of her own volition. Sure she's doing it because she hates everyone she's ever known and wants to ruin their lives using the power of Reshutoka and her clan.

However we take yuri victories where we can get them, and true love is but a burning kingdom away.

Karina (understandably) spiralling into consuming, self-destructive, very likely misplaced hatred is a fun directon to take it.
Aurora was very likely being genuine (especially considering she's never actually done anything malicious against Karina at any point, Karina has just assumed that she has due to everyone elses' treatment of her), but by now, I don't think there's much of anything she could actually do to convince Karina.

The toxic mess of these two will probably only become more delightfully awful as Karina gets worse too.

the maid betrayed her trust and went with the demands of the sister who took her life.
the sister whose fiance exiled her, whose family sent assassins after her, and she just let her do as she pleased...
with that, there went the last chance to hold karinas (very justified) rampage.
impressive how well tempered karina is though, she doesnt take it out on the treacherous servants.
the difference in treatment of the 2 sisters indicates that these maids were part of the scheme to bury karina. tools of the aristocrats and royalty behind the exile.

The lady is a villainess. It's what they do.
SOO many "villainess" stories are either about said villainess being "tamed" or never having been bad in the first place, just misunderstood or misrepresented. OR they are cruel and quick to kill but only towards actually objectively evil people. Not often do we get villainesses who are the actual protagonist of the story AND actually play the role of a villainess properly.

I love how she says Reshutoka is hers and hers alone

Thank you so much for the chapter<3
The thing I haven't seen anyone mention yet is Reshutoka burying Karina's castle is also a metaphor. Karina is now willingly subjecting herself to Reshutoka to play along with their relationship even though she's clingy. A relationship she could describe as suffocating. And now the last trace of her life if buried in the snow, unable to see daylight anymore.

That she appears to seal this pact with a kiss as it all happens makes it such a terrifying metaphor.

This is one of the greatest yuris I've read since Love Bullet and it's not even close.

Post script: Gosh i completely forgot I wanted to talk about the eyes or the lack there of in that scene with Ciel. After that disgusting look she gives Ciel her (and Aurora's) eyes are unseeable in almost every panel until she says she'll be living with Reshutoka. The lack of honesty and emotion she's allowing herself to show until she puts up that charming false front.

Though I want to believe that Karina is starting to value the relationship a bit more after this. It's something that she knows will not break. And her revenge plan was revealed in earnest. And despite Reshutoka wanting to check Karina to see if she really means it, she stood by her with a smile on her face. I don't think she knows what she's commited to, but she's a wifeguy. Come hell or high water she'll make her happy.

That said maybe we'll get some spicy scenes in the next couple chapters. Let Karina show how far she's willing to commit to the relationship. What reservations will she have? Ohhhh i can't wait!

The maid wouldn't have known about assassins. That all happened after her mistress left. Karina assumed she'd have given up and left the castle but it turned out her servant had waited for her. She just didn't return before the sister's entourage arrived. Karina is lashing out at the last person who had stuck with her, but I'm not sure what authority a single servant would have had in refusing entry to a royal request. She's not being a great mistress to her one loyal servant and she might regret that later once she deprograms more.
